IUCN Nepal has a New Country Representative

Dr. Yam Malla has joined IUCN as the Country Representative for IUCN Nepal Country Office, Kathmandu, Nepal with effect from 01 October 2011.
Dr. Malla will be representing IUCN in Nepal, working with the membership – both governmental and non-governmental – and with other appropriate partners, and will also manage IUCN’s Programme in Nepal.
He has some 30 years experience of working in environment and development fields in countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.

Students’ Conservation Conference and Exhibition 2011

IUCN Nepal participated at the a national level Students' Conservation Conference and Exhibition organised by the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC). The three-day exhibition was inaugurated at a special ceremony by Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Jhalanath Khanal.
Hundreds of students from schools and colleges visited the exhibition. Some of the main attraction of the exhibition included photo exhibition by WWG and WWF.
